About Us

Cameron and I, Lauren, met back in January 2010 through mutual friends at a church dinner, I know, really original... I had moved from Canada and was living in the LA area going to college and he was attending college and working for a trading company as a go-between for the China end of production.   I don't know if I'd call it love at first sight, but we were quickly inseparable.  Though we may not agree on what to call a hat (toque/beanie) or those long sticks you use to colour pictures with (pencil crayons/colored pencils), we can both agree that we love each other and we love adventures.

Our first, and best, adventure was when we got married on October 9th, 2010, in Los Angeles.  We were married in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, and the whole country of Canada came down to celebrate our special day.  Well, maybe just southern Alberta.

We moved to Taiwan in January 2011, just shortly after we were married.  We are both full-time university students studying International Business.

I'm a yoga teacher in training and he's a triathlete.

We both love to be active and travel the world.

We are here in Taiwan for adventure part one for the next few years and would love for you to follow along and maybe even learn something from our trial and error here.

  3. Hi Lauren! It's always lovely to read other blogs on Taiwan! I currently live in Taipei, and I just recently stumbled across your blog....it's great! My grandmother lives in Qing Shuei, which is not too far from Feng Chia I believe. The nightmarket there is fantastic :)

Can't wait to read more of your posts soon!

  4. Hi, Lauren.

I've just discovered a photo of yours during a Google search, and I've used it on my blog, but I've also shared your blog link and given you credit for the photo. Is that okay? Please let me know ASAP, for I can take it off if you don't approve!

    Happy blogging, Mike
