Thankful

Thursday night I had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner with some great friends.  There's a diner here that serves a real thanksgiving dinner, turkey and all! I was thankful for that.  It made it feel a little less like I was half a world away... even though Thanksgiving was really a month ago, silly Americans! ;)

The food was delicious and the company even better.

This year I am very thankful.  There have been a lot of changes, mostly good, that I am so grateful for.  And of course plenty of things have remained the same, that I am equally blessed to have.

I am thankful for my husband.
He has been so supportive and loving these past few months while I start school again and try to figure out my place in this crazy country.  He's ridiculously hard working, dedicated to his church calling, acing his classes, and did I mention he's like super handsome too?  He's a keeper, folks,

I am thankful for my family.
They are always there for me, even when I'm so far away and sometimes am bad at keeping in touch.  My brother and sister are even coming over here to visit in February!  Boy are we gonna have some crazy adventures.  Basically I just have an awesome, slightly scattered, family and I love them.

I am thankful for Taiwan.
This country and I have had our ups and downs, but we are on good terms now.  I'd even say we've become great friends.  I never would have thought that I could fall in love with such an unknown culture and people, but I have, and it's wonderful.

I am thankful for so many things, I could never write about them all in one post.  I'm thankful for my health, my friends, the gospel, my apartment, school, work, and you, my lovely readers!  It's much more fun to write these posts when I think somebody will actually take the time to read them.

I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving and got to spend a bit of time with friends and family and remember just how lucky we all are to be on this beautiful earth.

Happy Thanksgiving
